1. NAME OF THE VETERINARY DRUG EFFITIKS 26.8 mg/240 mg, instillation solution for very small breed dogs

2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Each 0.44 ml pipette contains: active ingredients: fipronil 26.84 mg, 3 perm.8 mg2; excipients: butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) 0.088 mg, butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) 0.044 mg. For the full list of excipients, see page 6.1.

3. DOSAGE FORM Drops. Transparent yellow solution.

4. CLINICAL DATA 4.1. Target animal species(s) Dogs. 4.2. Indications for use with indication of the relevant animal species For dogs against fleas and/or blood-sucking ticks, when it is necessary to control (prevent feeding) mosquitoes and/or midges. Fleas For the treatment and protection of dogs infested with fleas (Ctenocephalides felis). Fleas on the dog's fur die within 24 hours after treatment. One treatment will prevent re-infestation with adult fleas for four weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as an integral part of the control strategy for flea allergic dermatitis (FAD), diagnosed by a veterinarian. Bleeding ticks for the treatment of Ixodes ricinus ticks in dogs. A single treatment provides a continuous four-week effective acaricidal effect against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). If certain ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus or Rhipicephalus sanguineus) are ingested during use of the medicine, not all ticks may be killed within 48 hours. Mosquitoes and mosquitoes One treatment repels (prevents feeding) mosquitoes (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) for four weeks.

4.3. Contraindications Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Do not use in rabbits and cats as this may cause adverse effects or even death of the animal (see also page 4.5 i). Do not use in sick (e.g. systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals.

4.4. Special warnings for certain target species The veterinary medicinal product remains effective even after exposure to sunlight or after the animal has been wet in the rain. Avoid frequent bathing or washing of dogs undergoing treatment, as this may reduce the effectiveness of the veterinary product.

4.5. Precautions. Precautions for use in animals. Animals must be weighed accurately before treatment. The safety of the veterinary product in children under 12 weeks of age or dogs weighing less than 1.5 kg has not been established. Care must be taken to ensure that the contents of the dropper do not come into contact with the eyes or mouth of the dog undergoing treatment.
