The tablets are intended for the treatment of cats with immature and adult tapeworms and roundworms. In addition, this drug can be used to prevent heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) if tapeworm treatment is required at the same time. Do not use in cats under 6 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg.

The medicine should be fed once. In order to ensure the correct dose of the drug, the animals must be weighed. The veterinary medicine should be given with feed or after the animal has eaten a little. In this way, optimal protection against heartworm disease is ensured. The drug can be used in breeding cats, including kittens and lactating cats. The following are practical dosage recommendations based on the cat's body weight.

Body weight Amount of tablets
0.5 - 1 1/2 tablets
>1 – 2 1 tablet

Contraindications

Do not use in cats under 6 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance (s) or any of the excipients.

Special warnings for specific target animal species

It is recommended to treat all animals in the household at the same time.

In order to develop an effective deworming program, it is necessary to take into account the local epidemiological information and the risk of exposure to cats, therefore it is recommended to consult a specialist (eg a veterinarian).

In case of D. caninum infection and in order to prevent re-infection, simultaneous treatment against infection with intermediate hosts of parasites such as fleas and lice is recommended.

With frequent and repeated use of the same class of anthelmintics, parasites can become resistant to them.

Adverse reactions

Systemic signs (e.g. lethargy), neurological signs (e.g. ataxia and muscle tremors) and/or gastrointestinal signs (e.g. vomiting and diarrhoea) have been reported in very rare cases, particularly in young cats. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions have been observed after administration of the drug.
